Product Review
Product Description

AirPlay is the first and only iPod-powered FM Transmitter that works across the full FM frequency band without the need to install software. Allowing iPod users to play audio wirelessly from their iPod through any FM radio, AirPlay is perfect for use in automobiles, especially those without a cassette player or auxiliary input jack.AirPlay matches iPod's ease-of-use. Plug it in, tune it, and push play. AirPlay is smaller, simpler, and better than any iPod FM Transmitter ever made.AirPlay features an easy-to-read illuminated digital frequency display, which turns off automatically after tuning to conserve iPod battery power. When iPod begins to play, AirPlay automatically transmits on the last used radio frequency. Because of its energy efficient design, when the iPod is not playing, the Airplay automatically powers off. With Airplay, there is no need to navigate menus in the iPod. Selecting a new frequency is easy, simply find an unused FM frequency on the radio, then press AirPlay's tuning buttons to quickly select the new frequency.AirPlay is a marvel of miniaturization, packing more features and better performance into a smaller package than any other FM transmitter. It is so compact that it does not block the iPod's hold switch. AirPlay is designed to work universally with all iPods with Dock Connector and Click Wheel iPods, including iPod photo, iPod U2 Special Edition, iPod from HP, as well as iPod mini.

Summary: Know what generation your IPod is 2007-09-27
Comment: This unit may work fine, but not on the IPod I have. The description provided led me to believe it would work, but I have the wrong kind of IPod. That is probably why this was so cheap - it's a real old product. Apple doesn't make it that easy to figure out what you have either. I finally did and ordered another product. So, if you're looking for a transmitter, be very sure you know what kind of IPod you have before ordering.

Customer Rating: 4 Star
Summary: Better Than Expected 2007-03-08
Comment: So far we've used this product on the open road and in town. We get good reception as long as the iPod is near the radio. We've had only a small amount of static interference in town and that was in areas with lots of power lines. It works well and considering the tape player in the car died is a heck of a lot better than listening to nothing in the dead zones between towns. We do a lot of traveling and it will be a nice addition to our listening repertoire. I think the bad reviews are just because people were expecting something more than these types of devices can deliver. I would recommend you try one out, especially at the new low prices.

Summary: Ipod Mini FM Transmitter 2007-02-23
Comment: This device is easy to use and works fairly well. It only works well at short ranges, less than 6 feet. Good for static applications at home or in a car. Does not work well if you are carrying the unit and moving around. Changing positions affects the signal strength and clarity. Much easier to use and performs better than the iTrip. I have an Itrip and it is hard to change channels, requiring a file to be run.

Customer Rating: 5 Star
Summary: Awesome signal 2007-01-15
Comment: The signal is the best in almost any car, better than everything else I have tried. I have a mini so I don't know if its different than anything else and also its only like $6 so its really cheap compared to everything else.

Summary: great little product 2006-11-15
Comment: This little gadget does the trick. It's cheap, easy, and gives you a lot of flexibility with your ipod music.
