When I bought my Zen Vision:M, it came with a AC charger. I was looking for a second charger that I could use at work. I was specifically looking for a usb charger. The charger allow me to listen to music at work, while my Zen is charging.

The cable also allow me to charge the device when I plug the Zen into my computer.

The original docking station that came with the device, only allows you to charge the device of a usb port, if you have all the Creative software installed. But this method is very sensitive to any changes to the software installed on your computer. My Zen did charge at one stage from my laptop, but then stopped when I made some changes to the software on my laptop.

Any one buying this device or has got the device and has problems charging it from a usb port on the computer, should invest in a sync/charge cable and a charger. This package will do the job.
