This review is from: Tunecast Auto Universal FM Transmitter for MP3 Players (Electronics)
Bought this for more money than it is here on Amazon. This works great for me. I have had it about 2 months now and is great for listening to audiobooks. One trick - if your mp3 player is like mine it has 2 different volume settings. I usually listen to it on the "normal" setting with my earphones. For using this fm transmitter I switch the volume setting on my mp3 to "High" and turn the volume up on my sansa mp3 as high as possible. This way I don't have any static at all on the radio as I listen. After doing this setting change I love it.

This FM transmitter seems to have everything-- user-friendly controls, a dashboard hook to keep it in place, and the price is very affordable. The problem is that it doesn't work at all unless I hold it in my hand-- not something you want to do while driving! Steer clear of this one and check out other FM transmitters and reviews here on Amazon before you buy. I wish I had.

Like most of the rest of the reviews here, I say avoid this one. I've had a few different FM transmitters over the years, and this is the worst. I wanted to use it just to listen to podcasts and audiobooks on my commute. So I don't need audiophile quality. A bit of static would even be acceptable. But it was hard to find any configuration where I could even hear a single word. Finally I found by draping the unit across my leg I could hear something most of the time without also holding onto the unit. But of course, a couple miles later, signal strengths changed and I was blasted with static again. I'll probably continue to mess with it, but save yourself the trouble and steer clear.
