compact & great for charging USB mini and micro devices,

I got this online from another retailer on a member sale for a little less than is sold for on here. The cord is basically what you can see in the picture shown above, so if you need something small that can power Micro USB or Mini USB than this works great! If you need a longer connector to transfer data from a USB device or ipod then consider another product, but on the go this is awesome! fits in a small pocket in my backup for use charging my phone or a friends while at school. I'm satisfied with this purchase and others find the device cool because it is compact and keeps connectors safe and clean.

I bought two of these within a week of each other. Before I'd even used the first one I thought it was such a great idea that I'd get a second as a spare. After using the first one about ten times, the plastic housing on one of the USB connectors fell apart and I was left with a connector and some bare, soldered connections. It got tossed. The second one lasted about a dozen uses before a different housing broke and fell off. JUNK x 2! It's not like I abused these - they're carried in a small pouch within my laptop bag and aren't subjected to any extreme conditions. They just fell apart after very minimal use. I have an iGo device similar to this for my iPhone, and it's been subject to many, many more uses and is holding up like a champ. I think I know what manufacturer is getting my future business!

I got one of these last summer for traveling and have used it a fair bit. I forgot it and on a current trip picked up a competitor product, the iGO. the design is similar, but on this Scosche product the cables are really tiny, like a half inch long or so - on the iGo the cables are between 1.5 and 2 inches long. If I had to buy another one, or was buying my first one, i would buy the igo type of this product for that reason - slightly better design for me. the igo is a little larger but both are compact and super light weight, weigh almost nothing.
