I got an iPod shuffle 3rd generation from a friend which had everything except the charge/sync cable. I settled on this cable because it seemed to have the fewest amount of reviews from people that said it just didn't work. I'm happy to say it does work for the iPod shuffle 3rd generation. It syncs and charges, both. It's a keeper.

After searching through many cheaper, 1-star knock-off versions of this product I was relieved to find something with a few positive reviews. I just received it today and it works for both synching and charging on my 4th generation ipod shuffle. The extra cord length is nice and should make it easier to keep track of. I will be glad to give it a fifth star after a few weeks of operation.

I had a difficult time finding a replacement cable that actually worked for my 3rd generation shuffle, but this one has worked for me so far.
