Play your favorite iPod or MP3 playlists through your car's stereo speakers while simultaneously powering the device with this Scosche combo FM transmitter/charger. The FM transmitter offers eight selectable channels: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, and 107.7 MHz. To use the device, merely find an empty frequency on your FM dial--meaning a frequency that gets no reception--that corresponds to one of the eight channels, then tune the transmitter to the same channel. The music will then play through the selected station, negating the need for a cassette deck adapter, auxiliary input, or other wired music transfer device. The charger, meanwhile, plugs into your cigarette lighter adapter to keep your iPod or MP3 player fully juiced as you drive, so you won't run out of music within the first few hours of your road trip. The FM transmitter/charger comes with a pair of cables: a mini-USB to iPod dock connector that works with all dock-connecting iPods, along with a mini-USB to 3.5 mm headphone plug for MP3 players, CD players, or older model iPods. The unit also carries a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box FM transmitter/charger, mini-USB to iPod cable, mini-USB to 3.5 mm cable, user's manual.

Summary: worked pretty well... before its 3 month birthday 2007-09-11
Comment: i didnt buy this transmitter from amazon, but the item's lack of durability is so notable that i just have to write this review. it worked quite well for it the first 3 months. charges my ipod video 30 and the transmite quality was pretty good. but recently without a warning it just blows out... doesn't charge my ipod anymore and the sound quality diminished... i placed it at a very safe space in my car so then for sure no one stepped on it or anything like that... im sadden, costs 30 and now im 30 bucks short of what i expected

Comment: I bought this product for my Sansa e260. I had read things like "CD quality," and "works great!" These couldn't be further from the truth. Remember the days of cassette tapes where you would listen to your favorite tape 1,000 times? That's what it sounds like...and that's provided you don't have any interference. You have to turn up your sound system so loud that if you accidentally switch modes to CD for instance, you will undoubtedly blow your speakers. This product sucks.

Summary: Great product 2006-09-20
Comment: Although I did not buy mine on Amazon, I love it! Other people in my family have transmitters for their iPod's, but this one works the best and is the best price of any. I get great reception on it except for a few places. The best part is that is also charges your iPod. I love this product and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a transmitter that works well for a good deal!
