One of the keys to getting decent sound from an RF modulator into the FM receiver in your automobile is getting a strong signal from the modulator. I live in area where there a few vacant frequencies on the FM dial. This FMTD6R is able to provide a clean signal on a frequency that is right between two strong FM station signals. Although this product will work fine when my Blackberry Bold 9700 (which I use to listen to cached Slacker stations) is in my console, the best signal is when I set my Blackberry on the dashboard, to be even closer to the windshield antenna.
The frequency response from this product is decent, also. Not quite up to the quality from my satellite radio, however, adjusting the tone controls to boost the bass +1 and the treble +3 made it sound pretty decent.
