Summary: Satechi FM Transmitter for Sansa 2010-07-21
Comment: I bought this unit to use in my work vehicle that I could not install satellite radio in. The unit installs in seconds and is ready to go. After reading reviews of other fm transmitters i was more than skeptical about how this was going to work. I previously had a Sirius Stratus satellite unit installed that worked off of the same fm transmitting technology. It was god awful. Even with the extender wire running back to the car's antenna the sound was weak and full of static. Not the case with the Satechi. The sound is crystal clear like you're listening to a cd. I turn on my Sansa in the morning and I have my music going all day without ever having to touch it. The instructions could have been a little more clear. While i was setting it up, the instructions said to connect the cable from the Sansa's headphone jack to the transmitter. Then you connect the connector that is attached to the transmitter to the port on the bottom of the Sansa. When I did that, I got all kinds of feedback from the system. YOU DO NOT NEED THE SEPARATE CORD. Only use the connector that goes to the bottom port of the Sansa. Took a minute to figure that out, no big deal. I'm not sure why the other cord is included. The arms hold the Sansa quite well. I thought the arms were a little flimsy at first but my Sansa has never moved in the unit. I drive a police car so I was impressed at the unit's ability to not move during my periods of "offensive driving". That also speaks well of the unit's transmitting capability since I have many different electronic systems installed in my vehicle that are operating all day and none of them are able to interfere with the transmitter. Bottom line is that I highly recommend this unit and it is worth twice the price.

Summary: Great product, Great Price 2010-07-13
Comment: This is the 3rd FM transmitter I have purchased for my Sansa Fuze. The other two went flop-kabang withing 3 months of use. The first I got what I paid for, but the 2nd was about the same as the Santechi. So far, for about 3 months now, it has performed flawlessly. It is built much more solidly and is VERY easy to use, providing a superior sound. I can't tell the differnce from the CD and the Santechi/Sansa Fuze. The delivery was within 3-4 days.
The only negative in the design is that there is not much way you can fit the Sansa into the nicely padded cradle and still have access to the on/off switch on the Sansa. If you move it up further in the cradle to get access, you block the on/off switch to the Santechi. It makes one wonder if Santechi actually had a Sansa Fuze to slip into the cradle...if they had, it seems they would have done something to allow accesss to both on/off swithces on both the the Santechi and the Fuze. All, they would have had to do was place the on/off switch on the Santechi to the top...then no problem. Oh well--I still say this is a good buy!

Summary: good sound quality 2010-07-13
Comment: It a little quirky to use at first, but I guess this is because it is made for more than one MP3 player. The sound quality is excellent. It works great in our 07 Accord. But it didn't work very well in my 98 Wrangler (standard transmission) as it would get bumped as I shifted back into 1st gear and it would shut down. Very good for out of town trips, as you don't have to endure commercials and constantly searching for radio stations or shuffling CDs.

Summary: Best transmitter for Sansa 2010-07-12
Comment: Bought another transmitter at a retail location and the sound quality was terrible. This unit has a great cradle and the sound is great. I would recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Excellent Buy 2010-07-01
Comment: I purchased 1 for my Sansa e260. Since I got it, it has worked great. The only issue I had was with the screw to hold the transmitter from swiveling. I put a total of about $0.12 into a new screw, washers and nut and it works fine. I haven't had any issues with it since. I bought a 2nd one for my wife. She also has a Sansa e260. At first, I thought there was an issue with hers. She had to use the cord to plug the earphone jack into the transmitter. However, after I dug around some more, I found her player needed a firmware update. Now everything is working great for both.
I am extremely happy that I got these. They are way better than any other FM Transmitter that I have tried.
