This is NOT an OEM product; it is NOT from the original equipment manufacturer. I have one of the original Apple chargers and have compared them; they are very different (I have a picture of the two side-by-side; if you comment on the review, I will receive an email and can send it to you if you'd like.) Because it isn't OEM, it doesn't charge the Apple products it claims to in the description. Do not waste your time in buying this, as you will just end up with the hassle of returning it.

When I initially received the item, the connector cable was not working properly on any of my Apple devices. A quick e-mail exchange with the vender followed by an even quicker delivery of a new cable and I was back in business. Now both pieces -- the Connector Cable and USB Power Adapter work flawlessly on all three Apple devices I use. This item a great alternative to the more expensive product sold by Apple. It works just as well for half the price! Highly recommended.

It's OEM and works great. These USB/AC Adapters make it much easier to grab a charge for your devices. If you don't need to sync with your computer and all you need is a charge, just plug your USB cable into the adapter and plug that into any available AC outlet.
