Product Description
The P-5A Digital FM Transmitter with Auto Power Adapter is designed to charge the iPod battery while playing the unit through a car stereo receiver. It also enables the user to select any FM station for the clearest signal and stores up to ten stations in memory. Amazon.com Product Description
Play your iPod through your car's FM stereo while simultaneously charging the unit with this Maxell digital FM transmitter and power plug. The unit is easy to use: just plug the included cable into your iPod's 30-pin dock connector, insert the power plug into your car's cigarette lighter adapter, and choose an empty (i.e., unused) FM frequency on your radio dial. Once you set the transmitter to the same frequency, you'll hear your favorite iPod songs through your car's stereo speakers, all without hassling with cumbersome cables. Listeners are assured of a crisp sound thanks to the high- stability crystal oscillator and phase-locked loop control, which keep the transmitter locked to the correct frequency. And it's easy to store several favorite FM frequencies in the transmitter thanks to the 10 memory presets. Other details include a 60-second auto- off function that preserves your iPod's battery power when the power plug isn't used, a pass-through jack that lets you connect other dock-connecting accessories, and an easy-to-read display. The FM transmitter and power plug, which are compatible with the iPod 3G, iPod 4G, iPod photo, iPod video, iPod nano, and iPod mini, carries a 90-day warranty against defects. Comment: This product was "dead on arrival". It would not transmit. It would charge the iPod, but that is all. I returned it and got a different product.
