It fits in perfectly with my work space (a decent size cubicle)and looks good near the black keyboard and monitor I have. More importantly, it sounds great. Now I find that I have a chance to listen to a lot more of my music than just on the commutes to and from work. The sound quality is good, even at low levels (which is important in an office setting). I would recommend this product. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Macally Stereo Speaker with Charger for iPod (Black) (Electronics) The sound quality is rather mediocre, tinny and without definition. That's ok, though; it's still more than good enough for kids or background music. What isn't ok, is the fact that these destroy iPods by overcharging them. Ours killed two iPods before we figured out what is happening.
If you buy one of these DO NOT leave the iPod in it for too long. There seems to be a problem with the charging circuit on these, and it may overcharge your iPod. The resulting overheating may destroy the screen, if not more, and will definitely damage the battery. As I said, we've had two screens damaged by leaving an iPod charging in one of these, so I'm fairly confident this device is to blame. 6 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By Delma (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Macally Stereo Speaker with Charger for iPod (Black) (Electronics) I bought these speakers for my 11 year old son to user with his ipod. His fifth generation video ipod fits the dock. Several different sized adapters come with the speakers/dock, too. There are two cylinder shaped speakers about 3 1/2 inches high with a 3 3/4" diameter ...also a dock for the ipod. These speakers are OK. They sound good at a lower volume only. If volume goes much higher they start to distort. They are good size for a desk. My son put them on a shelf at the head of his bed. I don't think he minds them right now at his age, but in the near future I think he will want a better quality sounding speaker to play his music. |
