I wanted to get my feet wet, so I recently bought a certified refurbished iPod Shuffle - 1st Generation for around $33 at the Apple Store. I'm so far happy with the Shuffle knowing it's limitations.
Reason for the ICEFM purchase: is primarily based on price. After reading reviews for other FM transmitters, the more expensive it is, the less likely there would be static. I really didn't want to spend that much especially since I have an original AM/FM CD player in my '96 Blazer. I'm sure with the best transmitter, there will be static in my car. I could have held off waiting for the nicer Kensington model (with full FM range and better quality sound) to go on sale and be closer to my price range, but I opted not to wait and bought the ICEFEM. We were successful in playing in 3 different vehicles-- one being an RV.. We also liked that there are no batteries to replace- as we feel this highly effected our last few transmitters- if the battery was the very least low- it would not work properly. The only downfall we can see is it is not cordless-- but none the less--- it works better than any other one we have had in the past. Oh yeah--- and the fact in charges as you play- is really a cool feature! GREAT PRODUCT! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Macally FM Transmitter and Charger for iPod Devices White iceFM (Electronics) It only has 4 or so different frequencies it operates at, but I've driven in the Dallas Metroplex and never had any interference. Signal is nice and strong. I drive a Nissan Altima and no problems what so ever. Way better than one of the 1st gen Belkins I tried to use several years ago. |
