Summary: Bought one at Xmas & it's already broken! 2008-02-01
Comment: I bought one for my husband for Christmas. First of all, we immediately discovered that we had to purchase an additional jack adaptor to make the iPod function of his iPhone work, even though it was advertised as being "compatible" with the iPhone. Secondly, I purchased the transmitter on 12/20 and it's already not working, even as just a charger. Tried it in several different cars to make sure it wasn't a cigarette lighter problem, and it wasn't. The indicator light doesn't even light. I've requested a replacement, so I'm hoping that my request is honored and that the replacement works.

Summary: Best FM Transmitter yet.. 2007-09-04
Comment: We have purchase several FM Tranmitters-- not impressed with any-- til we got this one. We were successful in playing in 3 different vehicles-- one being an RV.. We also liked that there are no batteries to replace- as we feel this highly effected our last few transmitters- if the battery was the very least low- it would not work properly.
The only downfall we can see is it is not cordless-- but none the less--- it works better than any other one we have had in the past.
Oh yeah--- and the fact in charges as you play- is really a cool feature!
GREAT PRODUCT!

Summary: it is not compatible with iphone 2007-08-06
Comment: you have to connect the iphone in the doc and then the transmitter charger to that to work. also there are ony 4 frequencies and they are not so good ..
but it works for basic stuff. just have to change frequency if there is a problem..

Summary: For Around $21 Bucks, It Met My Expectations. 2006-11-14
Comment: Background: I'm new to this iPod / MP3 player thing. I wanted to get my feet wet, so I recently bought a certified refurbished iPod Shuffle - 1st Generation for around $33 at the Apple Store. I'm so far happy with the Shuffle knowing it's limitations.
Reason for the ICEFM purchase: is primarily based on price. After reading reviews for other FM transmitters, the more expensive it is, the less likely there would be static. I really didn't want to spend that much especially since I have an original AM/FM CD player in my '96 Blazer. I'm sure with the best transmitter, there will be static in my car. I could have held off waiting for the nicer Kensington model (with full FM range and better quality sound) to go on sale and be closer to my price range, but I opted not to wait and bought the ICEFEM.
Review of the ICEFM: The setup was very easy. Click in the shuffle to the ICEFM, plug in the audio cable and place in cigarette lighter. Then tune my radio dial to one of the desired 4 presets. Bingo, I was in business. There IS background noise when there is "silence" or there is a low part in the song, but you don't notice it while the song is playing. In addition, when I turn the volume knob on my radio, it makes more static noise. The one odd thing is due to the way my car's cigarette lighter is situated. The Shuffle sticks out from the ICEFM and I have to maneuver the ICEFM so the Shuffle doesn't bang up against the dashboard.
Overall, it does what it is suppose to do, especially if your expectation is not perfection.
