Stereo FM Transmitter,4 FM Channels,24 HR Battery Life,SR
In the car I had to set this on my lap -- while driving -- to get any kind of reasonable signal out of it. Otherwise, placed anywhere else (even on the passenger's seat) -- it's all static, buzzes and clicks coming out of the radio. Either it's underpowered or it's just plain junk. It may work under ideal conditions, but in day-to-day driving it's unusable.

The Maxell FM Transmitter seemed like a good solution to get handsfree car use for my older cell phone and Zen MP3 player. Since this connects into the headphone jack, it can be used on any device that accepts the mini-connector.
We tried two of these devices and, sadly, the poor range and intermittent performance made these an unusable option in my car, none of the 4 stations worked. I did try it in our house and confirmed that it could work if placed right next to a radio (both units), but not if it was moved more that 2 or three feet away.
This might work well for some folks, but I gave mine away. Not Recommended.

This little piece of worthless plastic trash does absolutely nothing. Batteries are in, iPod is on, doesn't work on any radio in the house, on any frequency, and does not work in the car. Oh, correction, it worked for about 2 seconds in the car, but was immediately overcome by static, and did not work again. Please do not waste your hard-earned money on this. Maxell, please stop ripping off America. Thanks.
