This review is from: GSI Super Quality Mini FM Transmitter/Modulator - LCD Display, For Apple iPhone 3G/3GS/4G, iPod Nano, Touch, Video, Classic (Electronics) After spending $100 on a Belkin ipod fm transmitter, (because I believe I get what I pay for), I have found this $10 transmitter is what I was really looking for. I can comfortabley place my ipod in my cup holder while it is hooked up to this transmitter. I have an hour commute to work and home everyday and was looking for a transmitter that will continuously play no matter how many potholes there are. The Belkin stopped playing almost everytime I hit a bump and sometimes I could not get the music to start again while I was driving. This transmitter keeps my ipod playing no matter how many bumps there are on the road. I also find no difference in the sound quality between the more expensive transmitter and this transmitter. I have only had my transmitter a short time but feel I have gotten more than $10 worth out of it already. So, the lesson I have learned - at least when it comes to ipod fm transmitters - more expensive isn't always best. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: GSI Super Quality Mini FM Transmitter/Modulator - LCD Display, For Apple iPhone 3G/3GS/4G, iPod Nano, Touch, Video, Classic (Electronics) I owned this product after purchasing another cheaper FM transmitter (http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Transmitter-Adapter-Charger-IPod/dp/B002SN77NK/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1289705070&sr=8-17). The sound produced by the FM transmitter through my car speakers were loud and clear. With the other FM transmitter, I could barely hear the music, I eventually stopped using it. I recommend this FM transmitter as it works as advertised and matches stylistically the iPhone 4. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By R. This review is from: GSI Super Quality Mini FM Transmitter/Modulator - LCD Display, For Apple iPhone 3G/3GS/4G, iPod Nano, Touch, Video, Classic (Electronics) I use another transmitter that isn't wireless that has a clear sound, but I wanted one that would charge my iPod while I listened. I found this one, and the design/aesthetics are excellent and it had what I was looking for. The charger plugs into the bottom of the transmitter while the transmitter plugs into the bottom of the iPod and also has a simple couple button remote. Well this one does charge the iPod, and does so well, but it sacrifices the sound. No matter what channel I put it on, or settings that I changed, I always heard static - and not just a little buzz, but a consistent scratchy noise that increased with the volume. I tried it with the iPhone 4 and had the same results. I ended up returning it. |
