This works great. Charges your iPod while you listen to it in the car. Since the connection is via the cradle and not a seperate cord to the headphone output, the sound volume and quality are excellent. The only downside is that the plug-in to the cig lighter does come loose sometimes.

I got this recently for my iPod Touch. First here is what I like: I like that there are adapters for a variety of iPod models. I like how stiff the adjustable gooseneck is. I like how it is sturdy in the power socket (cigarette lighter) in my car. I like that the gooseneck is short. I like the great sound quality.
What I don't like echoes what others have said about this product; the fact that my iPod tilts sideways if I just look at it crooked. Simply going around a turn causes the ipod to fall sideways.
The iPod cradle has a pivot where it attaches to the gooseneck. This pivot has way too much play with no way to tighten it. With no iPod in it, it seems OK. However, once you put an iPod in there, the weight of it causes it to flop around.
Also, when I was trying to position my ipod to lean forward more, the pivot started to come apart, making it worse. Ugh!
My solution at this point has been to wide a rubberband inbetween the 2...Read more

Works Great! If you want to have the neck curve upwards, yes the weight of the ipod will cause the whole assembly to rotate in the lighter socket. If you rotate the swivel on the back of the Ipod connector 180 degrees so that the neck curves downwards from the lighter socket, it will stop fighting gravity and stay put just fine. Voila! It becomes less obtrusive, and in my late model Tacoma it hangs very close to the center console just over the front cup holder. You can use the built in 1/8" connector or the connector on top of the IPOD itself - both work if you're worried about noise, bandwidth, etc. It charges, keeps the Ipod in place and looks decent. There is a light ring around the lighter plug that changes from orange to green letting you know if the Ipod is fully charged or currently charging. Snap these up while they're cheap. If you MUST have the neck curving upwards, skip this product. If you don't mind swiveling the Ipod plug 180 degrees so the neck curves...Read more
