I bought two of these chargers for my daughter and for me. First time it worked well. After that, my daughter noticed that it was not charging any more and having this adapter plugged into the Ipod, the Ipod started to malfunction. I tried to charge the IPod with my charger and it happened the same. I took the Ipod to Apple`s service thinking that probably it was a factory fail of the IPod or even that the charger may broke the battery life. Fortunately the problem was the wall charger and it didn`t happen anything to the Ipod but it put it on risk using this adapter.
After that, I bought Apple`s original adapter that costs a lot more but does not put on risk my expensive Ipods. Don`t waste your money buy the original.

I bought this charger and charged my ipod for about 10 minutes. When i unplugged it my ipod was hot to the touch. It would not turn on at all, even when I reset it. It does not respond when plugged into the computer. 2 days later and it still wont. I am very sad that my 300 dollar ipod will never function again

Whenever I would charge my iPod Touch, the screen would stay off for about an hour afterwards, completely unresponsive. I stopped using it for fear of ruining my device.
