Summary: Unstable performance 2008-08-20
Comment: I bought this for a road trip, but sadly it stopped working within 10 days. The first few days it worked great, but afterwards the radio signals started to become unstable -- I had to change channels every 5 minutes even within the same metro area. after 2 weeks it simply stopped working. The charging functions still works, but hey, i didn't buy it as a charger!

Summary: More accurate than the Amazon.com specs 2008-08-01
Comment: I really liked my former DLO iPod dock, but I found that, with my iPod inserted, it was beginning to weigh-down my small in-dash cigarette lighter power source. Fearing a break, I decided to look into purchasing a similar but smaller, and hopefully better-featured, player. I did a fair amount of research and then settled on the DLO TransDock micro, model 2.0. The last thing I did was come to the Amazon.com page for a look at the reviews and comments. In the accompanying specification section I saw that some imaginative Amazon.Com copy writer had stated that the DLO TransDock micro, model 2.0 would send the artist and track and time information through any radio equipped with RDS technology (my radio has this capability). This seemed a valuable feature, and I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Well, after some frustrating moments, some minor confusion, and a lot of colorful language, I found out that, according to a technical help person at DLO, this feature is not one that the DLO TransDock micro, model 2.0 performs. Caveat emptor; lesson learned. This device does do what it says it is supposed to do; it just does not do what Amazon.Com says it does. Bottom line: good product, good company, and don't always believe what you read on Amazon.com. Not the first time this has happened to me with Amazon.Com products, by the way. I have yet to be dissatisfied with a purchase at Amazon.com, but its technical descriptions must be ingested with much salt.

Comment: This product probably works great in a lab somewhere or if you are parked and never drive around. The auto tuning feature is completely worthless. You will end up manually tuning to a dead zone because the TransDock will select active radio station channels. Default listening mode is mono, you will have to select the stereo setting. FM tuning is from 88.1 - 107.9. Here is an important spec that you won't find on their website, Freq, responce: 20Hz - 15kHz. If you are looking for a quality piece of electronics, look elsewhere.

Summary: Does not work 2008-05-12
Comment: I purchased this product and initially gave it a good review. I should have waited. After one day it began working intermittently and sometimes the control button would not work at all. It had poor quality in the city also. I took it back and exchanged for a new one which had all the same problems and more. It worked as advertised about 10% of the time. It is also too large for the cigarette lighter socket on my Saab and was extraordinarily difficult to get in and out. I can't stress enough how dis-satisfied I am with this product.
