installation: easy. the iBMW sits happily in the nice little Cd-changer recess in the trunk documentation, product description, web site: clear sound quality: as good as the CD player functionality: it gives the driver control over the play list selection, track selection, and artist selection. it shows the track information. Good use of the BMW factory radio displays and controls. Cons: There is a 1-1/2 second delay in response in making any changes to the current play so a bit of practiced patience is required. But the operation is reliable so far. The display does not always show the right track. but since it's my list, I generally have a good idea of what I am listing to. Overall, this is probably the best on the market right now and so far so good. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: DICE i-BMW-TSV SilverLine BMW/Mini Cooper iPod Adapter (Electronics) Got the product in a timely manner. Took about 5 minutes to install. I've never installed any type of electical accessory in my car before so this should tell you something about the ease of installation. Works almost perfectly. From time to time it glitches and doesn't play. Usually just turning the radio on and off fixes it. The sound quality is great and the controls on the steering whell work great and the song title display on my head unit works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this product glitches aside. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: DICE i-BMW-TSV SilverLine BMW/Mini Cooper iPod Adapter (Electronics) After seeing a bunch of post on the BMW forum I belong to, I decided to buy the DICE Silverline Pro. I plug my 8GB Nano (latest version) and my wife's 2nd Gen 2GB Nano into it and both work with no trouble. Skip time between tracks is almost instant. I read other reviews that state a 1 to 1.5 second delay between but it may be caused by what type of iPod is used. (Older, newer, etc...)
The only time I used the included instruction manual was when setting up the radio to read the track names/artist/albums. As stated in previous review the installation was a breeze thanks to a 7 part youtube instructional video. Pros: Easy to install CD Sound Quality Allows for use of steering wheel controls Title/Artist/Album are displayed on your stock radio Cons: None so far and I've had it for almost a month with daily use. |
