i purchased this charger for use with my SanDisk MP3 player. After 3 months my MP3 player wouldn't charge with this AC unit, now i use the USB cable it came with. I guess that's why it cost me about $2.

It's great that your MP3 player can charge when connected to the computer, but what about when you're taking those multiple gigs of audio on the road? The battery is likely to lose its charge before you're home again, and certainly will if you're using the player to "shuffle" music.
