I read about this in reviews for the iPhone version of this product but assumed they fixed it for the iPad version (2.1 amp). Have used the charger for less then one month - and it no longer is recognized by my iPad. The plug that goes into the iPad does not sit right. I get a "Not Charging" message on the iPad. Other chargers work just fine after this so not an iPad problem. Sending back to Belkin now for hopefully a better replacement

I read the other review and I've had no trouble at all with my Belkin 2.1 wall charger, which I purchased in early February 2012. I've used it to charge my iPhone (Verizon 4) and iPad (1st Generation) without any problems. Also, the ability to flip down the plug and rotate the appartus makes it no problem to carry in my book bag and easy to plug into the wall or power strip along side another plug. Neither the iPad nor the iPhone has had any problem recognizing this charger and both are complete up to date on their OS.
