I purchased this to charge my iPhone in my truck after my AT&T branded charger broke. I knew I wanted something small and sleek- This definitely fits the bill. It's not totally flush with the dash, but very close. It sticks out just enough that you can grab it to pull it out of the socket. Since it's a simple USB interface, I'm sure I could use it to charge other things, too; like a camera, or anything that charges with USB. The ONLY reason I didn't give this five stars is that I haven't had it long enough to really judge it's durability. It seems well made, but you never know.

First-up, it's worth noting that this comes with an iPhone cable (so you don't have to buy one seperately).

As to the actual device, it's got a good quality feel about it and it works properly. We bought a similar unit made by some no-name manufacturer while on a road trip and were bemused by the fact that it only worked if you plugged it in after the car was started and then plugged in the phone. This unit has no such weirdness - it just works, and works well.

What's also really nice is that this is very low-profile, so when you plug it in it looks like it's meant to be there as part of the car vs. having some ugly thing sticking out.

I have a 2006 grand prix gxp and it fits just right. I have also tried it in a 2011 Ford Fusion with no issues.
