I was nervous reading some of the newer reviews about the 3G not having the same charging capabilities as previous generations, but I thought I'd give this one a shot. This charger worked perfectly. I charge my iPod almost everyday with it, and use the cord that was included. It even seems to charge quicker than when it is plugged into my computer. Like others have mentioned, there is a bright blue power light on it, however, it's not unbearable. This one works very well with a plug adapter. The power on light is very bright; works well as a night light, but if it is in your line of sight, you may have to cover it up. It is a great item.
