Th product well made, not flimsy in the least. It is a good value in that you have the cable you need to connect to your PC and you use that same cable with adapters to charge your Sansa at home or in your vehicle. It works great.

The cable seems to be much sturdier than the retractable one I had before; in order to extend its "life", I would still recommend being careful not to let it bend too much where it joins with the plugs at either end. This is a lesson I learned with my ear buds; this seems to be a major stress point and if the wires are going to "give" and start to fray, it'll be there. I miss the retractability especially for travel but if it lasts longer the trade-off is worth it.

I bought this in Nov. 2011 to replace a retractable charger/data cable that worked well but fell apart. I have a Sansa e250, 4gb mp3 player. Shortly after purchasing the cable, the battery stopped charging fully, then the unit wouldn't turn on at all. After removing the battery and putting it back in, the player is charging again.
